Could Gaming Be the Next Frontier for Beyond CAD?
At Beyond CAD, our mission has always been clear: creating cutting-edge 3D visualization software designed for professional civil engineering and infrastructure projects. But lately (partially based on a lot of strong feedback from actual gamers) we’ve been reflecting on the intriguing idea of branching into the world of gaming—not as a departure from our core work, but as an exciting opportunity to connect more deeply with our community and perhaps inspire the next generation of professionals.
The intersection of professional visualization and gaming isn’t entirely new, yet exploring this space could offer fresh ways to engage young enthusiasts who might one day enter the fields of civil engineering, architecture, or city planning. Imagine mini-games that introduce key engineering concepts, or thoughtful, educational expansions for popular city-building games like Cities Skylines 2. Such efforts could serve as both a fun community-building tool and a gentle introduction to the complex, fascinating world of infrastructure design.
By venturing into gaming, we wouldn’t just be giving back to our community—we’d also be widening awareness of our professional products and opening a creative entry point at the top of our sales funnel. Through gaming experiences, we could reach younger audiences who might not yet realize their potential passion for designing the real-world environments of tomorrow.
We’re still exploring this idea and considering all possibilities. To stay updated or learn more, visit: https://beyondcad.com/gaming/
